C. C. (Carl) Agar

Carl Agar began his aviation career in Edmonton in 1928. He served as a flight instructor in the RCAF during World War II and was awarded the Air Force cross for outstanding contributions.

After the war, as a partner in Okanagan Air Service investigated the possibility of utilizing emerging helicopter technology for airborne spraying.

He flew the first commercial helicopter in Canada and was a world leader in the development high altitude, mountain and back country helicopter flying techniques
